I want to let everyone know that there are two new phishing attempts coming through the Institute’s email today. These are both spam and should be forwarded, including the Internet Headers, to the OIT HelpDesk using the Reporting Phishing Attempts instructions.
The first one is from Lisa G (rj.daigle@comcast.net) and it is to e-mail@adob.mail.org, with the subject “::0147911_Payment Copy: 31/1/2022”. It includes a document with the Adobe Sign logo. This email is identical for every person who has forwarded it to me, so I am certain this is exactly what you will see. However, it may vary a little.
The other email is from Billing Alerts (alert@pingdom.com) and the subject is “Your Microsoft Account is expired!” This one shows the Office 365 logo and says that your Microsoft 365 Business is expired. The email itself is definitely spam as the clues include spaces before punctuations, wording, and the two emails in the thread that are all in Japanese.
If you get these emails, please forward with the Internet Headers to the OIT HelpDesk so the email administrators can hopefully stop additional messages from getting through.
Thank you so much to those who have brought these to my attention. It always helps to know what others are seeing that I am not.
Thanks again!
Sandy
